Skolera LMS, can use data generated from ASCTimetables (Sold separately as an add-on) to populate the school timetable.

To be able to import the data correctly into Skolera LMS, the following naming conventions must be strictly observed when entering data in ASCTimetables:

  1. Subject Name: Can be anything
  2. Subject Short name: Must be the first part of the course name preceding the level code. (EX: Course English in Grade 1 with course code ENG-G01 in Skolera, the Subject Name in ASC will be English and the Short name will be ENG. You only need to enter the subject once if the same name and the first part of the course code are the same in all Levels/Grades.
  3. Class Name: Will be in the format Grade-Class (EX. Grade01-18A, Grade1-18B)
  4. Class Short name: Will be in the format: LevelCode-Class (Ex.G01-18A, Y01-18B)
  5. Classroom Name: Can be anything. If the name exists on Skolera it will be matched, if not it will be created and associated with all sections.
  6. Classroom Short name: Can be anything.
  7. Teacher Name: Can be anything
  8. Teacher Short name: Must be the teacher username on Skolera.


Importing Data from ASCTimetable to Skolera LMS

  • Generate the timetable using ASCTimetables
  • Go to the Files tab
  • Select Export
  • Export the generated time table as a .xml file (asc timetable xml database)
  • Save the file on your computer
  • Log onto your Skolera platform as an admin
  • Go to Administration > Timetable
  • Click on Import
  • Click on Upload file
  • Select the file you exported from ASCTimetable in step 4
  • Click on Save
  • Refresh 

NOTE: You might need to delete any existing entries before performing this import.
