In this tutorial you will learn how to create:
- True/False questions.
- Multiselect questions.
- Multiple choice questions.
- Matching questions.
- Reordering questions
for your quiz. You will also learn how to delete unwanted questions.
This tutorial is follow up to the Creating Quizzes tutorial. Follow the steps 1 to 11 there to reach the Create Questions step, then do the following,
i. True/False Questions.
In this type if questions, students read a statement and decide whether it's true or false.
1. Select True/False from the drop-down menu.
2. Type your question in the text box and choose whether the answer to this question is True or False by checking the appropriate circle.
(You can also edit the style using the toolbar above the text box.)
3. Scroll down to: select the cognitive level for the question by checking the corresponding box (optional), select the difficulty of the question, and enter the points allocated for the question.
4. Click the + Add New Question button to add more questions, or the Next Step button if you are done adding questions.
ii. Multiselect questions.
In this type of questions, students have to select more than one answer for the same question.
1. Select Multiselect from the drop-down menu.
2. Check the Accept Partial Answers box if you want partial answers to be counted as correct answers. If not, leave it unchecked.
3. Type the question in the text box.
4. Type the options next to the numbered boxes and click the +Add New Option button to add more options.
Don't forget to check the boxes to the right of the correct answers.
5. You can erase answers by clicking the trashcan button corresponding to them.
6. Scroll down to: select the cognitive level for the question by checking the corresponding box (optional), select the difficulty of the question, and enter the points allocated for the question.
7. Click the + Add New Question button to add more questions, or the Next Step button if you are done adding questions.
iii. Multiple Choice Questions.
In this type of questions, students are given multiple choices and they have to select one correct answer.
1. Select Multiple Choice from the Drop-down menu.
2. Type the question into the text box.
3. Type options next to the numbered boxes, click + Add New Options to add more options.
Don't forget to check the box to the right of the correct answer.
4. You can erase options by clicking the corresponding trashcan button.
5. Scroll down to: select the cognitive level for the question by checking the corresponding box (optional), select the difficulty of the question, and enter the points allocated for the question.
6. Click the + Add New Question button to add more questions, or the Next Step button if you are done adding questions.
iv. Matching Questions
In this type of questions, students are provided with 2 groups of items, and they have to match items from the first group with items from the other group.
1. Select Matching from the drop-down menu.
2. Type the question in the text box.
3. Type an item in the Match box and its matching item in the Matching Answer box.
Click the + Add New Option button to add more items.
4. Scroll down to: select the cognitive level for the question by checking the corresponding box (optional), select the difficulty of the question, and enter the points allocated for the question.
5. Click the + Add New Question button to add more questions, or the Next Step button if you are done adding questions.
v. Reordering Questions.
In this type of questions, students are given steps or events in an incorrect order and they have to reorder them.
1. Select Reorder from the drop-down menu.
2. Type the question in the text box.
3. Type the steps or events in the correct order in these boxes. Click the + More Steps button to add more steps or events.
4. Scroll down to: select the cognitive level for the question by checking the corresponding box (optional), select the difficulty of the question, and enter the points allocated for the question.
5. Click the + Add New Question button to add more questions, or the Next Step button if you are done adding questions.
vi. How to Delete Questions.
1. Find and click the DELETE button next to each question you would like to delete.
2. From the popup, click the YES button.
