How to Perform Student Migration in Skolera ERP System

Student migration in the Skolera ERP system allows you to transfer student data from one academic year to the next. For example, you can transfer students from Year 1 to Year 2. Follow these steps to perform the migration:


Step 1: Open the OpenEduCat Module

  • Action: Log into your Skolera ERP system and navigate to the OpenEduCat module.

Step 2: Navigate to General Settings

  • Action: Click on the 'General' tab within the OpenEduCat module.



Step 3: Choose Student Migration

  • Action: Select 'Student Migration' from the options available.


Step 4: Fill in the Required Fields

  • Date of Migration: Enter the date on which the migration will take place.
  • Transfer Levels:
    • Choose the current level (e.g., Year 1) you want to transfer students from.
    • Select the new level (e.g., Year 5) and the batch you want to transfer students to.


Step 5: Elective Subjects Options You have two choices regarding elective subjects:

  1. Unassign Elective Subjects:

    • This option will transfer the students to the new level but will remove any elective subjects they were assigned to.

  2. Transfer Elective Subjects:

    • Assign Elective Subjects of New Batch: This will transfer the students and assign them the elective subjects associated with the new batch.

    • Keep Elective Subjects of Current Batch: This will transfer the students to the new batch while keeping their current elective subjects.


Step 6: Assign the Students

  • Action: Select the students you need to transfer and complete the migration process.


By following these steps, you can efficiently migrate student data within the Skolera ERP system, ensuring a smooth transition from one academic year to the next.
